On Tuesday December 16, Venstre parliamentary candidate Morten Dahlin visited plastics company CUC Engineering A/S at Industrivej in Slagelse. The visit was coordinated with the Danish Plastics Federation explaining why the federation’s director Thomas Drustrup also participated. CUC Engineering A/S Managing Director and owner Morten Rasmussen presented the company’s facilities currently employing 38 staff. CUC Engineering A/S manufactures injection molded plastics and wire solutions for various industry segments including bio-medical engineering.

The purpose of the visit was to create a greater political understanding of production enterprises framework conditions in Denmark in 2014. Therefore, a large number of the various challenges associated with running production operations were discussed. One of the major problems is the difficulty finding the necessary amount of skilled labor, especially if the company is located in a geographically peripheral area.
